The PRISM Rope Access Descender is a versatile, high-performance device designed specifically for rope access professionals. Engineered for a wide range of vertical applications—including abseiling, ascending, lowering, hauling, and rescue—it offers exceptional safety, control, and adaptability in demanding work environments.

The PRISM features multiple threading configurations that provide different levels of friction, allowing users to switch configurations even under load—ideal for real-world rope access conditions. Its patented Duo Brake mechanism increases braking force under heavier loads while reducing the rate at which friction is released, giving operators enhanced control and reduced risk.

The Normal Friction mode ensures automatic braking if the handle is released or fully squeezed, eliminating the need for a second karabiner to manage higher loads. Reduced Friction mode is perfect for rope work under partial load, such as horizontal movement, rope feed, or edge transitions.

Designed to meet the standards of IRATA International Code of Practice (March 2013, 2.7.5.4), the PRISM is also certified for two-person loads, making it fully suitable for rescue scenarios.
