Product Description
The i-Scape Personal Escape System by Heightec is a high-specification, compact self-evacuation solution designed for controlled descent from height in emergency situations. At a fraction of the size and weight of traditional systems, the i-Scape is ideal for anyone working at height, with particular suitability for onshore and offshore wind industry professionals.
Central to the system is the MICRON descender, featuring Heightec’s patented DuoBrake mechanism. This provides precise control over descent speed and automatically locks the device if the handle is released or over-squeezed—offering double-action safety during use. The system can also be configured to off-weight and lower a casualty, expanding its versatility beyond self-rescue.
The system comes pre-threaded and ready to deploy, complete with karabiners, prompt sheet, and sealed in a durable storage bag. The 15m version weighs just 0.8 kg, making it incredibly easy to carry as part of a personal kit on a harness.
Constructed with 100% Aramid cord, the i-Scape system provides maximum resistance to heat and cutting—far outperforming Aramid blends, which contain lower-melting-point fibers that compromise safety at high temperatures.
