Product Description
The i-Scape Personal Escape System by Heightec is a compact, lightweight, and high-performance self-evacuation solution designed for emergency descent from height. Engineered for professional use, particularly in demanding environments like the onshore and offshore wind industry, it provides all the functionality of larger evacuation systems at a fraction of the size and weight.
At the heart of the system is the MICRON descender, featuring a patented DuoBrake mechanism for fine-tuned speed control during descent. The MICRON locks automatically if the handle is released or overly squeezed, offering double-action safety in all descent scenarios. This system is also capable of off-weighting and lowering a casualty, expanding its use beyond self-rescue.
The i-Scape comes pre-threaded and fully equipped with heat-resistant 100% Aramid cord, selected for its superior strength and performance at high temperatures. This cord outperforms Aramid blends, which lose integrity sooner due to non-Aramid components melting under heat stress.
Packed and sealed in a durable storage bag, the system is ready to deploy with attachment karabiners and a prompt instruction sheet.
