Product Description
GOTCHA® CRD Rescue & Evacuation Kit
The GOTCHA® CRD Kit is a pre-assembled rescue and evacuation system designed for controlled descent and limited lifting applications. Certified to EN 341: Class A and EN 1496, the system enables a casualty to be lowered at a constant, controlled rate without the risk of uncontrolled descent.
It can also be used to raise a casualty over short distances and supports evacuation from tall structures such as tower cranes, wind turbines, and other high-risk work environments. With the addition of a remote attachment pole (sold separately), the system allows for non-cut rescue of a suspended casualty without direct physical access, making it ideal for rescue from fall arrest lanyards.
Product Features
- Suitable for evacuation from high structures such as tower cranes, wind turbines, powered access platforms, and telecoms towers
- No-cut operation – the casualty is raised slightly to disconnect their fall arrest system without cutting
- Bi-directional rescue – allows for both lowering and limited lifting of a casualty
- Controlled-rate descent – the system lowers the user at a safe, constant speed with minimal manual input
- Pre-assembled – ready for immediate use with no setup required
- Assisted rescue – the rescuer can access and recover the casualty directly
- Lone evacuation – enables a single person to descend safely on their own
- Multiple evacuations – the system can be reused in quick succession for multiple users
- Two-person use – rated for loads up to 225 kg
- Available in working lengths up to 100 metres for rescue and evacuation
