What is Fall Restraint Equipment?
Fall restraint equipment is primarily used to prevent falls from height, by keeping the worker away from dangerous areas. For example, a fall restraint system might include a saftey harness, attatched to a lanyard, which in turn is attatched to a secure anchorage point. This should prevent workers from getting too close to a fall hazard, like the edge of a roof. If the fall restraint lanyard is too long, it will not prevent this, so the size needs to be properly adjusted for the situation.
